Our Story
On July 3rd 1985 Eva Cornejo and family opened their first restaurant just
over 8 miles from there Eva’s Norte location in Casa Grande. The opportunity to open her original store came when they found a building that needed to be
moved. That move cost $7,000 and the building traveled a little over 3 miles
from Toltec Rd to where it sits today at I-10 and Sunland Gin Rd.
Eva has always enjoyed cooking for her family. Cooking her very own original
recipes from scratch, roasting chiles and preparing homemade tortillas daily is
the secret. Eva has been cooking for over 24 years for anyone who has stopped
in. Today her son Fernando has helped her expand on her dream to have her
second location. Fernando grew up in the family restaurant. His experience and
eye for architecture is what has brought the Norte location to where it is today.
The courtyard reminding the family of buildings they would admire in
Mexico along with high ceilings and authentic
detailed architecture and décor. The Cornejo’s
truly wish for you to experience what they
have come to love and that is, to serve you as our
guest and make you feel like family.
